Dancing
This practice consists of performing dance steps or tricks on a longboard equipped with two kicktails to maximize the board’s leverage and expand the range of possible tricks!
Choose your board
A longboard with two kicktails at each end of the deck.
For dancing, a wide and long board with two kicktails on both ends is preferred. The idea is to have enough space in the middle to perform dance steps, use the kicktails for tricks, and maximize stability when carving thanks to its length.
A longer wheelbase provides greater stability but also increases the turning radius, making the board more stable in curves.
A shorter wheelbase increases maneuverability, makes the board feel lighter, and makes aerial tricks easier.
The central grip may be absent, as grip tape can hinder dance steps.
Choose your trucks
RKP Trucks 180 mm / 50°
Recommended are RKP (Reverse Kingpin) trucks of 180 mm (up to 165 mm for narrower boards) with a 50° angle. They provide high stability and a large turning angle, with all the pivot characteristics needed to dance on the board while riding with confidence.

Hardness and size: 60–65 mm / 78a–86a
A light and small wheel between 60 mm and 65 mm with rounded lips, combined with a hardness between 78a and 86a. This maximizes acceleration when pushing and minimizes the total weight of the longboard.
WARNING: For wheels larger than 65 mm, we recommend adding a riser pad between the trucks and the board; otherwise, the wheels may touch the deck (wheelbite), causing an unwanted stop.
